A cedar forest in Mt.Kabura, Gifu.

There are also rare cedar clusters in Japan country.

There are many trees of cedar tree in Gifu. As for Hida, there are many cedar which adapted to the environment from a lot of snow to a special shape.

In this mountain, a new cedar grows rooted in the stock of the cedar of the old tree of about 500 years old and decayed. It is called "Kabusugi".

There are also cedar trees that grow ten to one stock. I am impressed by the appearance that the number of 70 close is clustered.

There are also "Monet's Ponds" and "hydrangea garden" nearby, and you can also go sightseeing by car.

岐阜の蕪山にある「株杉の森」。

日本国内でも珍しい杉の群生林があります。

岐阜には杉の木の巨木が多く、飛騨などではその雪の多さから特殊な形に環境順応した杉なども多くあります。

ここでは古くなって朽ちた樹齢５００年程の古木の杉の株に新しい杉が根付き成長する株杉。一つの株に対して１０本も生えている杉もあります。７０本近い数が群生している姿は圧巻です。

近くには「モネの池」「あじさい園」などもあり、車で行けば一緒に観光することもできます。
