This is a fishing port of Suga in Mie Prefecture.

This fishing port, which has been selected for Japan's 100-ri, was unable to enter the car until 1982.

三重県にある須賀利漁港。

にほんの里100選に選ばれているこの漁港は1982年まで自動車で入ることができず、巡航船での往来が唯一の交通手段で、陸の孤島でした。

古くは漁港として栄え、マグロやカツオが獲れました。現在は真鯛の養殖や伊勢海老漁で生計をたてています。

瓦屋根の古い民家が200戸ほど、海から山へとびっしり張り付く風景は壮観で細かく民家を縫う様に作られた坂道も趣があります。

町では８８歳になると長寿のお祝いとしてその人の手形を取って、親戚に配る風習があり、町のいたるところに飾られています。
